The main task of the electronic system is to measure and analyze temperature differences between the upper and lower surface of the specimen. In addition to that, those data shall be stored on a local storage and also be transmitted to ground control.

Temperature differences will be detected by type-T  thermocouples. The amplified signal will be provided to the input of an ATmega micro controller, which is responsible for the controlling and data and signal processing. Over the REXUS service module, which is the rocket’s central controlling unit, control words like “lift off”, “start of experiment” or “start of data storage” can be set. In addition to that, data can be transmitted over RXSM to ground control. The data will be stored on a local SD-card, for an easy data export.  A “action camera” will record the whole flight and will be switched on just a few seconds before lift-off.
